The Sweatshop has been a fierce supporter and ally of the New York music scene for almost a decade. Run by musicians for musicians we understand the financial balancing act required to exist in this city so we always maintain the lowest rates possible.

REHEARSALS

The Sweatshop is Brooklyn’s premier spot for rehearsals. Highly competitive rates, knowledgeable staff and a laid back atmosphere. Rooms from $15-$35 per hour. All studios are climate controlled and feature a full backline of quality equipment ready for you to walk in and rock out. Our commitment is to provide an environment that artists can feel creative and comfortable in, the opposite of the sterile, stifling experience of other studios. We’ve created a place where you can be uninhibited, inspired and productive.

RECORDING

The Sweatshop features a top of the line recording studio composed of live room, control room, vocal booth and lounge. With over 14 years of professional recording experience our talented and proven engineers will capture any sound you require. With your budget and specific needs in mind, from record to mix to master we will help you create the product that best represents you and your creative vision. Through our partnership with Swan7 and Grammy nominated engineer and producer Matt Stein we have amplified our recording capabilities exponentially: offering the best of digital, vintage and modern analog equipment, experience and expertise all under one roof.

LOCATION

262 Meserole Street Brooklyn. Located on the 2nd floor of the massive 75,000 square foot Danbro music complex and former 19th century brewery, The Sweatshop features over 4,000 square feet of rehearsal space and 1,100 square feet of recording space. We are conveniently located directly above Bushwick Supply the satellite shop of Brooklyn music store pioneers Main Drag Music and in the same complex with live internet radio station and Brooklyn taste makers Newtown Radio, as well as the future home of live concert venue The Wick Music Fortress.

OTHER SERVICES

The Sweashop also offers a variety of other services including private studio rentals, various instrument lessons, session musicians for recording and/or shows, video shoots and editing, photography sessions, photography sessions and more. We can facilitate any and everything the modern [or old school] artist could need.
